About the cottage
Star-Gazy is a charming cottage converted from an old Pilchard ‘palace’.
It’s perfectly situated in The Meadow, a quiet location, 50 paces
from Porthmeor beach in the heart of ‘Downalong’. The cottage retains much of its original charm, cosy, well-equipped, and perfect for magical on or off-season stays.
Family-run and owned for 25 years, happily welcoming repeat visitors.
The accommodation includes:
- There are 6 stairs up from pavement level, then the accommodation is all on one level.
- The dining room includes an extendable table comfortably seating 6
- The kitchen is well equipped and includes a washer/dryer, and all you need to prepare that nourishing full English breakfast or picnic on the beach.
- The double room comes with a comfortable Victorian iron bed and a wash basin.
- The twin room has comfy antique pine beds and a nautical theme.
- The third bedroom contains full-size bunk beds.
- The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower.
- Leather sofa, flame-effect gas fire, TV, and Wi-Fi
in the living room. - Arrangements can be made ahead of time to organise
a travel cot and beach towels. - Designated Parking is located nearby.
